– A season CPA specializing in the hospitality industry. Raised in New Orleans, he learned to appreciate great food and service. Before graduating college, he worked all the positions in a restaurant from dishwasher to cook from bus boy to server. His favorite time in New Orleans is the Holidays and Mardi Gras when you meet with Family and Friends to celebrate. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his Family and dog at the beach and caddying for his son in Junio PGA tournaments.
After graduating University of Miami in 1992, he worked for Ernst & Young where he audited both public and private companies and participated in several Initial Public Offerings. He left Ernst & Young to work at Consolidate Cigar Corporation in Ft. Lauderdale to assist in the preparation of Securities and Exchange filings for their debentures and initial public offering in 1996.
Fast forwarding to 2007, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Master Restaurant Developers, owned by Hispania Capital Partners, a private equity firm from Chicago. Master Restaurant Developers was a South Florida Brinker Franchisee, owning 7 “Chili’s” and “On the Border”.
He started his practice in 2013, providing accounting and tax advice from small to medium size clients in the retail and service industry. In his thirty years of experience, he has built systems infrastructure, restructured debt and leases, managed employment compliance for clients, addressed government examinations, assured tax compliance, managed audits for initial public offerings and SEC annual filings. He employs software as a service model for his clients to deliver timely and accurate information.
